How it works
Pick a verse, pick a look, and if you want it over a photo of your own — a place that means something, a photo of your family, the view from a window you pray at — choose it and the verse is set over it in the same layout the ready-made wallpapers use. Drag the two sliders if the words land somewhere awkward, then download.
Nothing is sent anywhere. The wallpaper is drawn on a canvas inside your browser, which is why there is no account, no queue, and nothing of yours on a server to worry about later. It is also why the file you get is exactly what the preview showed.
When to make one instead of taking one
Most people want a verse on a nice background and are done in one tap — the wallpaper gallery is faster for that, with every curated verse pre-rendered in six styles. Make your own when the background is the point: a photo you took, your church's colours behind a verse for a slide, or a verse the gallery does not carry yet.
If you just want something to read rather than to keep, the random verse generator gives you one a tap at a time, and the topic collections gather them by what you are going through.
Frequently asked questions
How do I put a Bible verse on my own photo?
Choose a verse at the top of this page, press “Choose a photo” to pick one from your device, then drag the two sliders until the words sit where you want them and press Download. There is no account and no upload step.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The wallpaper is drawn in your browser on a canvas, so your photo never leaves your device and there is nothing on our side to delete. It also means the maker keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
What size wallpaper does it make?
Phone is 1080×1920 and desktop is 1920×1080, the same two sizes as every ready-made wallpaper on the site. Pick the one you want before downloading; the preview shows the exact crop you will get.
Can I use any verse, or only the ones listed?
The picker searches a hand-picked pool of around 215 verses — the same ones the random generator draws from, chosen because they read well on their own. Search by words or by reference, or narrow it to a topic like peace or strength.
Are the wallpapers I make free to use?
Yes, including personally, in church slides, and on social media. The verse text is the public-domain King James Version. If you use one of our backgrounds rather than your own photo, that is free too — no attribution required.
Do you have ready-made Bible verse wallpapers instead?
Yes — if you would rather not make one, the wallpaper gallery has every curated verse pre-rendered in six styles at both sizes, ready to download in one tap.
